DIY Bird Bath Planter I used terracotta pots, painted them w/ wood stain & baked them in the sun. Drilled holes w/ masonry bit. Sealed water dish & stuck bird (99Store) & rocks on w/ epoxy resin. glued pots together w/ contact cement (99¢Store), planted succulents, & sprinkled soil w/ chicken grit(cause I had it on hand) & river rocks. I kept the top dish free so I can remove it for cleaning. I'm taking a stab, too, at propagating clippings from the succulents 4 future projects. BIRDBATH

Macetas Decoradas A Mano

This Cat is mad out of ordinary clay pots and saucers -- (and a pair of tube socks) although this is not an original creation, you can use your own creativity on the painting of the character. Also the magazine I got the idea from did not have a tail on it so I made the tail out of the "other" tube sock :-) After all what is a cat without a tail -- his name is NOT Stumpy :-) His little head comes off to store cat treats but we don't dare...our cats would figure it out and knock his head off.

painted clay pot

Painted this years ago using two 12" clay pots for the body, a 10" pot for the head and a clay saucer for the base. Finish with a cape and fill the head with treats. I love bringing this out every Halloween, and the pots stack for neatly for storage.
