Saudade was once described as "the love that remains" after someone is gone. Saudade is the recollection of feelings, experiences, places or events that once brought excitement, pleasure, well-being, which now triggers the senses and makes one live again. I dig this a lot.

Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life and repeat to yourself, the most comforting words of all; this, too, shall pass. -Ann Landers

means "everything i do, i do it with my whole heart"

My grandfather raised me my entire life , he homeschooled me in elementary school and to help me remember my multiplication tables he would makes ryhmes with each one. 6x7=42 ryhmes with i love you. you better believe i never forgot. I took this picture with my homeschool certificate and you can see why underneath my grandfathers signature. He passed away in 2009 and will be in my heart forever. he was my hero :) I had this tattoo done in San Diego summer 2010 :)

Rick Moody has one of the coolest tattoos possible (in our opinion), because it’s part of Shelley Jackson’s Skin project, a 2095-word story published exclusively in tattoos, one word each on as many willing volunteers, so it can never be read in its proper order, but just exists, pulsing, out in the world at all times. This tattoo says “Un dia a la vez” which means “One day at a time” in Spanish. It’s a daily reminder to take things slow and enjoy life because tomorrow is never promised.

“When you have lost hope you have lost everything. But when all is lost, when all is dire and bleak, there is always hope”

“Voici mon secret. Il est très simple: on ne voit bien qu’avec le cœur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux.” [ENGLISH TRANSLATION]: “And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.” - Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince) by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
