Tell me another fairy tale...
Boat to Avalon - Journey Over Water - Avalon, part of Arthurian legend, was, according to the Myths Encyclopedia, "an earthly paradise where eternal spring, health, and Harmony reigned under the rule of enchantress Morgan Le Fay & her 8 sisters, all healers." The mortally wounded King Arthur was taken there (by boat) & healed and where he'll remain until Britain once again needs him.

The frog reminds us of the transient nature of our lives. As a symbol of transition and transformation, the frog supports us in times of change. Strongly associated with the water element, it connects us with the world of emotions and feminine energies, as well as the process of cleansing, whether it’s physical, emotional, or more spiritual or energetic.

Queen: Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all? Magic Mirror: Famed is thy beauty, Majesty. But hold, a lovely maid I see. Rags cannot hide her gentle grace. Alas, she is more fair than thee. Queen: Alas for her! Reveal her name. Magic Mirror: Lips red as the rose. Hair black as ebony. Skin white as snow. Queen: Snow White!
Fairy Tale: The version of this tale that most of us are familiar with ends with Riding Hood being saved by the woodsman who kills the wicked wolf. But in fact, the original French version (by Charles Perrault) of the tale was not quite so nice. In this version, the little girl is a well bred young lady who is given false instructions by the wolf when she asks the way to her grandmothers. Foolishly riding hood takes the advice of the wolf and ends up being eaten. And here the story ends. There is no woodsman – no grandmother – just a fat wolf and a dead Red Riding Hood. The moral to this story is to not take advice from strangers.

This painting of Cinderella shows her fairy godmother as a small fairy unlike the Disney version that has her as an old and happy lady. Also Cinderella's dress is from a different time period then the Disney's version as well. But both of the versions show that there is fairy godmother that does magic to Cinderella.
