Household Hints

Always have some Epsom's Salt on hand. Get a lush lawn, rejuvenate your scalp, and remove your blackheads...all with the power of Epsom salt. Check out what else you can do!

Outdoor use- flies HATE it. Mix it with water, about 50/50 and put it in a spray bottle. Use to wipe counters or spray on the porch and patio table and furniture Drives them away! Plus, it smells amazing.

Fill a spray bottle with hydrogen peroxide and 1/2 handful of baking soda. Shake it up and spray on carpet stains, upholstery stains, and clothing stains. pinner said, "I've used it for years and it works better than anything else."

Keep this in mind if you start seeing lots of spiders around your place. Natural spider killer or preventer... take one cup of vingar, one cup of pepper, a teaspoon of oil and liquid soap. Put it into a spray bottle and spray along the outside of your outside door and along windows;

De-tarnish ALL your silver ALL at once... line your sink with aluminum foil, add 1/2 c table salt, 1/2 c. baking soda, fill with hot water, then dump in all your silver! Let sit for about 30 min. The tarnish all transfers to the foil! Thanks, Susan Branch!

on January 1st you put all your hangers in your wardrobe backwards! Then when you wear something put it back the right way round. 6 Months later all the clothes that are on hangers facing backwards, donate them! You'll be surprised how many items you don't actually wear any more!!

Cover your refrigerator shelf with Saran's Press and Seal Wrap....then when it gets dirty you just peel it off and apply a new piece!! This is Genius.....I am so going to do this!

club soda, baking soda, and vinegar to clean carpet stains (even SHARPIE pen stains!)

For the "boy's" bathroom...Yah. Step 1: Mix a paste of baking soda and lemon juice. The consistency of the paste should be about that of pancake mix. Step 2: Spread the paste all along the bottom of the toilet {where it meets the floor}, the toilet seat, and any other area that gets a lot of over spray. Let it set for about 10-15 minutes. Step 3: When the timer expires spray the dried paste with white vinegar and let it fizzle. Once it is done fizzing wipe it up with a damp cloth.

great idea. this would be perfect in a front hall or kitchen for mail, cell phone, keys, etc.

I am "hanging challenged" so this is awesome! You put toothpaste on the picture's hanger, eyeball where you want your picture hung, press against the wall, then place the nail in the toothpaste spot on the wall. Wipe off toothpaste and hang picture!
