DIY: sew a credit card wallet, business or gift card holder

  • Jessica Robinson

This tutorial was easy to follow, and I love the tip bout using a ponytail holder for a closure. I modified the design to be a little larger to hold my iPhone.

Does anyone know what interfacing is used for these? Some are paper thin and iron on one side, some two sides or not at all. The directions didn't say anything about ironing but it looks attached and not sewn. I'm a beginner so details are important. I bought a more sturdy non iron but now I'm worried that it may be too thick.

You want to use an interface with paper on one side. Peel the paper off then follow the instructions to iron it to the wrong side of the fabric. The interface that I used was on the lighter side, but stiff would be ok. It is used to provide stability and make the holder less "floppy." Have fun!
