Some people create art with ball point pens, others create art with ink extracted from ball-point pens. Brooklyn's Shane McAdams is the latter, creating beautiful colored ink abstractions that are not drawn but naturally moved by wind and gravity to create unique patterns and drying finishes. DesignBoom notes, "once extracted, the liquid is heated and mixed with solvents before it is applied to the surface. McAdams does not 'draw' in the conventional sense but rather lets gravity, wind, and other physical forces direct the movement of the ink."
