Brown Burlap Ruffled Curtains

  • Mary Sue Hickenbottom

Oh yes, we could do this. Just need to measure, and get plenty of material. Burlap isn't cheap, but I know we saw some at Cantril. Probably JoAnns has it too. I bet we can make it last through more washings than those $60.00 ones they want to sell.

Ruffle Pleated Curtains (Anthropologie inspired)

  • Vicky Heckel

I would like to know the cost of these and how to order . Thanks

buy tablecloths to use as draperies....much less expensive, already hemmed, meant to launder often, and many patterns and colors available out there! 60x84 {or buy 60x104 so you can hem them AND still have matching fabric left over for pillows or other coordinating pieces!} I did this when I couldn't find curtains that were long enough. It works great!!!

Curtains made from Target table cloths. Genius. No sew.

hang curtains in a new way from rustic board and hooks

"faking" your pleats in curtains with Ikea hooks

Use $4 twin sheets from WalMart, and hang by cutting holes in side of hem or use clip rings. Score!

Hang a curtain rod from the ceiling instead of the wall when you have narrow space to work with. This is from Pottery Barn.
