FREE! Use these handy, little individual thermometers to teach your students how to use the real thing. Run them off on cover stock, laminate, and assemble them, and you'll have a neat little tool to use with the whole class, in small groups, with partners, or at centers. They are large enough to see from a distance--just dictate a temperature, give the students a few seconds to set it, and then have them hold up their responses for you to assess. They may also be used to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit. Students may practice with them using partners, or they can rehearse alone. Set them out at a math or science center for children to use during free time. There are many things you can do with these manipulative thermometers. Directions are included so that you may have classroom volunteers make them for you.
