Manuel Orazi | Théâtre de Loie Fuller | ca. 1900 I love everything about this art nouveau poster. It depicts the turn-of-the-century dancer Loie Fuller, famous for her Serpentine Dance. She's shown almost as an apparition, with Japanese motifs swirling around her. And above all, the colors in the bokashi fade are fantastic.
Kjell Sandved | Butterfly Alphabet One thing you can’t do is naturally grow the letters of the alphabet on your body. Not unless you’re a butterfly. This alphabet is made entirely from letters found on butterfly wings. via Fast Company More on his website
This signed limited edition of On Such a Full Sea by Chang-Rae Lee, published by Riverhead Books, features the world’s first 3D-printed book cover. The slipcase was made by Brooklyn’s Makerbot using a bioplastic made of corn. Lovely to see another technology join the existing arsenal of print whimsy, currently consisting mostly of die-cut ingenuity and pop-up paper architecture.
