You don't have to be Southern and female, and know just about every one of these characters. But it just might help. The day my own mother went bonkers in my hospital room, yelling at nurses and finally chasing down my doc in the hospital hallway demanding they "give her her damn pain meds NOW" is when I knew fiction and life are often so close as to be identical.
Flowchart: What to read this summer
Dashing Through The Snow
Anna Dressed In Blood, Kendare Blake
Unwind; to settle the abortion debate, this dystopian society bans fetal abortion but allows a sort of retroactive abortion, called "unwinding," available between the ages of 13-18, where the child's entire body is harvested for organs and transplanted into those who need them (thus no actual "death" occurs). what happens when a few revolt against being unwound? very thought provoking.
100 Best Children's Chapter Books of All-Time.
5 Novels to read if you liked Fifty Shades of Grey. One I've read and loved! And one is already on my list. I will have to add the other 3. ;)
I'm not a Stephen King fan -- don't much care for horror - but this is one of the best books I've read in a long time!
