Beginning of the year team-building and community building is crucial! I never know what to plan on those first days, and over-planning is KEY!!! This makes those first days back SUPER easy and stress-free$!

Have one person sit on a chair in front of a white board while the others wrote a positive phrase about them. Take a picture to give to each person. good way to build a strong classroom community. can do with younger kids too

Set up classroom transitions to music that happen automatically on your computer. Keeps you on time while also providing fun transitions for students!

Think Tank...on Monday put a question for the students to answer. They will then write their answer on a fish and staple it to the board. On Fridays go thru the fish and place the ones who correctly answered the questions in the fish bowl. Draw five every couple of weeks and give those students a reward. Works as a great assessment tool to see how the students are doing with various concepts!

Stop what you’re doing. Walk over and hand this to a child instead of yelling across the classroom. Great idea for classroom management without disrupting the whole class! With picture cues for the firsties.

Don't you hate when you get a few weeks into your school year and you have notes, documentation, student information, plans, parent communication and a ton of other stuff and it's in various files or completely disorganized? Start your year right with this Teacher Planning Binder. Pick your binder cover (fun quotes and designs), create your dividers and print out our pages! If you have ideas for more, send them to us on our site and we'll create them for you.

This is a MUST have for your classroom library. It allows you so use your smart phone and scan the bar code on your classroom books and then it inputs all of the info for you on a FREE data base. It allows you to let kids scan out the books and check out and check in them, separate them by reading levels and even put down their location in your class room. Did I mention it's FREE!?!?
