    This is similar to a glove box I purchased as a gift for my daughter. The maker is stamped onto the faux leather as Durand. I cannot find anything on Google for the manufacturer - Durand in Chicago. . If you can help with my search it would be wonderful. Thanks!

French Papier-Mache Glove Box, ca. 1920. 11-7/8"L x 3-1/2"W x 1-5/8"H. Traditional black lacquer/papier-mache with red interior, wonderfully adorned with pink and white florals, and a landscape scene with a younger girl daydreaming in the clouds. Overall very good condition, with just a small area on one side of box missing a 3/4"L section of footed base.

Tunbridge ware glove box. Circa 1870 with 3D effect geometric patterned top and fine Tunbridge inlay to the edges and four sides. The veneer on this box is Hungarian Ash a wood commonly used by some Tunbridge craftsman. This box carries the original retailer's label on the base and reads "C F Tolson - The Pantiles - Tunbridge Wells"

Glove box made from cognac coloured olivewood with a hinged front that opens down. The top is inlaid with specimen woods to create floral and foliate panels with a highly decorative border. Working key. 11 1/8" x 4" x 2 3/4" c 1860,

French box with basic veneer of natural Tortoise Shell (used with a particular adhesive to turn it red), then inlaid silver and gold colour metals, rosewood, mother of pearl and ivory. Velvet lining. Underside with embossed paper. Measuring 7 1/2" x 3" x 2".

Tunbridge Ware glove box veneered in ash decorated with a mosaic panel of a Berlin woolwork design of oak leaves and a border of water lilies. Labelled Edmund Nye. Dating to circa 1855,

This antique celluloid glove box has a soft and warm appearance, displaying a water scene with adjoining violets. The landscape is against a creamy ivory tone along with shadings of pale greenish blue. The central view is flanked with raised embossed scrolling details and the remainder of the box has a generous scattering of raised embossed floral designs. This box is different, in that it is completely covered with celluloid
