We came across 4 deer as we paddled on Gilles Lake. They watched us as we let the canoe drift slowly to shore.

Spotted while out for our first canoe ride of the season. This guy was enjoying the sunshine almost as much as we were.
A bittern incredibly well camouflaged in the marsh. She didn't move a muscle for many minutes we watched her before leaving her to peace. I'm quite certain she is protecting her nest.
