Students keep on desks, throughout the day call out "time check" and students record the time. It really gets the kids to be able to read a clock!

This matching idea can be easily adapted for just about any skill.

5 Minute Interval Paper Plate Clock

What's the number? Kids ask questions like Is the number greater than/less than....? Is the number between ___ and ___? Is the number in the tens place ____? etc. Or students may ask in number sentences- - Is the number 5+1? No two questions in a row can make the same comparison.
