BEST PANCAKES EVER recipe ~ They are super tall, light and fluffy and yet they don't get all mushy when syrup is added, they are excellent!

Quinoa stuffed bell peppers

  • Becky Wooler

Not really our thing--we both liked the roasted peppers, but neither of us really cared for the quinoa filling.

Since I'm still looking for that perfect pancake recipe...

  • Becky Wooler

Tasty and fluffy! Though they were tiny, oddly shaped pancakes because they didn't spread out like the recipe said.

Clementine-Vanilla bread - This recipe is excellent!

  • Becky Wooler

Made this a few months ago, and forgot to move it-- the recipe is good, when it's fresh. DO NOT FREEZE THE LEFTOVERS. I tried this because I made it for Bible study and we ended up not being able to go at the last minute, and just pulled a piece out. The clementines go all sour in the freezer and it's really gross.

boneless buffalo wings, from eatingwell.com

  • Becky Wooler

Not likely to make these again--all of the breading fell off and stuck to the pan, and it didn't taste as buffalo as i wanted it to. Next time, I'll try a baked version.

Brownie Batter Dip

  • Becky Wooler

I ended up making it for our Bible study last night (since you and the girls couldn't come over, Cassie-- sorry!) and it was a pretty big hit. Though a lot of the older kids decided to use the method of slapping the dip on marshmallows and cooking it in the toaster oven...can't say I disapprove. ;)

The Best Homemade BBQ Sauce --accidentally put in too much garlic powder and it still turned out good!

Rigatoni Pasta Pie

  • Becky Wooler

Tried this last night. My thoughts: 1. Tasted good. 2. I'm not sure how she managed to stuff the meat completely into all those little tubes. Mine ended up more like pasta on the bottom, meat 2/3 of the way up, layer of meat on top. 3. Springform pans that are leak-proof for cheesecake are not necessarily leak-proof for pasta sauce. Foil underneath in the oven is not a bad idea. 4. You may need more pasta. I don't know if my pan was just bigger than what the recipe called for, but I measured out the equivalent cups for a pound that the internet told me, and it didn't fill the pan up.

Clockwatching Tart: Turkey Stock

  • Becky Wooler

I didn't get a ton of stock from this (I used my crockpot and was therefore limited by the size), but it made pretty good soup.

This would probably smell way better than cleaning the microwave with vinegar.

  • Becky Wooler

This probably would have worked better if I hadn't procrastinated so long on cleaning my microwave. I still had to scrub it down with my usual cleaner. I'll have to try it again before it gets too crusty and see if it works better.

Creamy Tomato Tortellini Soup -- garlic, olive oil, condensed tomato soup, sun dried tomatoes, half-and-half, chicken stock, onion powder, italian seasoning, salt, pepper, cheese tortellini, parmesan cheese

Pumpkin Overnight Oats - budget friendly breakfast at $0.36/serving!

  • Becky Wooler

Good way to use up leftover pumpkin--unfortunately, I didn't like the way it tasted at all. I'll stick with maple brown sugar.

Crispy Skinned Chicken a l’Orange Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, 3 skin-on bone-in chicken breast halves; 1 tblsp vegetable oil 1/2 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, 4 tblspoons honey

  • Becky Wooler

The flavor was nice, definitely milder than a lot of other things I've made recently. Took about half an hour longer to cook than the recipe said, though.

Crispy Cheddar & Jalapeño Coated Chicken Breasts

  • Becky Wooler

I used dried thyme and a mix of regular and Panko bread crumbs, because that's what I had. BIG hit with hubby.

Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread #recipe

Quite tasty. Made this with Cassie. We added extra chocolate (of course). I liked it very much, and made it a second time already!
