Herb Alpert - Rise - In the 70's, most people just walked around in music videos. Or stood still. Maybe some light jogging or a touch of wiggling if things got really crazy. Anyways: trumpets! You rarely hear trumpets today. The only song I can think of is the quasi-mariachi Maroon Five "song." Saxophones are hot right now, and the accordion was even featured in a few regrettable hit songs (accordion and techno do not play well). Flutes are noticeably absent as well.
DONNA SUMMER - "This Time I Know It's For Real"...died today of lung cancer. Really wanted to see her in concert this year, heard she put on a great show! R.I.P.
"Beautiful Day" - U2. A popular selection used by many couples, including Annie & Gene. Time the bride & groom's entrance to the chorus... "it was a beautiful day...." if this version isn't energetic enough, try one of the many dance remixes to this song, particularly Paul Oakenfold's version.
MOVIE......Act of Valor go see it, great movie!!!!!!!!!!!
