Great Food Blogs
The way that food looks is almost as important as the way it tastes - as an editor and writer I find that some publishers, particularly when printing collections of recipes, make the food look pretty unappetizing. Blogs are beginning to change that! So I thought it would be nice to pick out some of the good food blogs for all of us to enjoy. Please visit as often as you like and add your favourites. Chocolate Chip Cookie Delight - This is a great dessert. I change it up and do a twist on banana pudding (just use banana pudding and top with vanilla wafers and to get really fanacy curl some white chocolate, white chocolate chips and/or almond bark) and it is always a hit. I figure you can do it with several different flavors
Holiday Fruit Salad - The yogurt sauce had a nice flavor, with the nutmeg adding a delicious, unexpected element. I used fat-free yogurt and halved the recipe (using 3 apples), but went ahead and used the full 1 cup grapes. I think tossing in some toasted pecans would make a wonderful addition.
Cream Cheese Kolacky ~ The dough for these cookies is what makes them exceptional. I always quadruple this recipe for the holidays. Most popular fillings are peach, apricot, raspberry and date. Use your imagination! You better hide a few for Christmas day--- these are the ones that go first!" :D
Flourless Chocolate Cake ~ Perfect for chocolate lovers! Great for entertaining, deceptively easy to make. Perfect for people who can't have gluten. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, or simply dusted with icing sugar.
Cream Cheese, Garlic, and Chive Stuffed Chicken - This is a great recipe and I swear you could put just about anything rolled up inside a chicken breast and it's bound to be good. The result was a very moist and flavorful chicken bursting with a delicious cream cheese and bacon center!
