I am a huge believer that students cannot and will not be able to achieve what we ask of them unless we EXPLICITLY teach/show them what we expect! This blog post addresses the idea that "learning behaviors" need to be taught right along with academic content!

Use baskets as "drawers" in their desks. Students put their pencil pouch and any "loose" tools in there to keep their desk nice and tidy. Why have I never seen this!!!!????
