Strawberries in Vanilla Simple Syrup.....wash & hull---pack into mason jars to full but not crushing each other---over low heat dissolve 3 c. water with 1 c. sugar and a vanilla bean to make syrup---cool syrup to room temperature---pour syrup into jars with a cup with a spout---fill to 1" of air space before lid---close and freeze----(delicious over ice-cream, pound cake, cheesecake, coctails)
