Recipes, Copycat & Mixes
These are recipes of all sorts that are copycats, knock-offs, substitutes, or mixes for existing products, restaurant offerings, or pantry staples...all essentially recreations of something else. (There are also some "real" recipes contributed by the restaurant/producer/chef who originated the recipe.) Other recipes are found in many other boards, especially "Tips, ___," (for more mixes) and "Recipes, ___"

That amazing ginger salad dressing they use at Hibachi restaurants Combine in food processor: 2 small carrots, peeled and chooped, 1/2 medium shallot chopped, 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped ginger, 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil, 2 teaspoons soy sauce, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 tablespoon extra light olive oil

Bonefish Grills Pan Asian Sauce...This is great on Salmon with fresh cilantro..It makes alot so if you are making it for just 2 people cut the recipe in half 1/4C olive oil 1/4C minced ginger 1/4C soysauce 1C ketchup 1C oyster sauce 3TBS lemon juice 1//4C water 1/2C sugar in med saucepan sautee garlic in oilve oil, in a med bowl combine soy sasuce ketchip oyster sauce lemon juice and water and add to sautee pan, bring to a slow boil then slowly add sugar over med heat
