The old country store has fond childhood memories for me. My Grandparents had a general store in Ark. They lived in the back rooms, the post office was in one corner, general merchandise throughout, and another room was a tiny diner where we cooked on an electric griddle and served lunch to the locals for 2 hours 6 days a week. The only gas pump was out front. The town barber was only open on Sat. That was the whole town. And I loved every minute of it.
