DIY Shampoo Bottle Monster Pencil Holder - so cute to make with kids and a great way to reuse

The next time you boil a dozen eggs, save the water and pour it on your garden and plants.  The water becomes enriched with calcium when the eggs are cooked.  Plus, why pour water down the sink when you can reuse it for something, right?

Yay for science! Baking Soda: It neutralizes the ph in the soil and nothing will grow there. (Another pinner said) I use baking soda in a 6" wide area around all of the edges of my flower beds to keep the grass and weeds from growing into my beds. Just sprinkle it onto the soil so that it covers it lightly. I usually have to do this twice a year - spring and fall.

Use toilet paper tubes as seed starters and just replant the whole thing.
