PARENTING IDEAS

"Primary Reading Common Core Social Skills – Being Respectful" targets the concept of respectful behavior using the story "Sam Turns His Day Around." Written at a Fleisch-Kincaid grade level of 2.2 it tells the story of Sam, who has a “bad day,” largely due to his disrespectful behavior towards others. Corresponding activities align with each of the K – 3 standards included in four CCSS Reading Literature Anchor Standards. $

.Father gives daughter this ring for her 16th birthday (when dating is officially allowed) to wear on her left ring finger--to remind her that she will always be HIS little Princess first-- and to remind her to only date boys who will treat her like a Queen--the way her Heavenly Father sees her!!.

How Jesus Was Coached There was nothing random in the life of Jesus. This includes learning the carpenter craft from His earthly father in preparation for His season of earthly leadership.

IF YOU HAVE A LITTLE GIRL: On my 16th bday, my dad gave me a half heart necklace and kept half of it. My half was attached to my bouquet on my wedding day. At the reception, he surprised us by giving his half to Chris. He literally passed down the responsibility of holding on to my heart. (Tucking this away for our girls. I love this idea...)

Do everything without whining, complaining or arguing. Start off the week with a set amount of quarters in each jar. If they are caught whining or complaining, they lose a quarter. At the end of the week, they get the money that remains. Better than allowance!!!

Love this idea!!!!! A book for back and forth letters between mother and daughter. Write and leave on daughters bed. when shes ready she can write back and leave on your bed. Back and forward you go. What precious memories you could create. Could do the same thing for dad's.
