Herb garden with painted terra cotta planters
Plants have best friends just like people do. Marigolds help tomatoes and roses grow better. Nasturtiums keep bugs away from squash and broccoli. Petunias protect beans from beetles and oregano chases them away from cucumbers. Geraniums keep Japanese beetles away from roses and corn. Chives make carrots sweeter, and basil makes tomatoes even tastier
Watermelon Cubes! If you put a small fruit into a box or container while it's growing, it will assume that shape. You can try it with pumpkins too!
Hand planters! Fill old work gloves with cement, let harden and cut away gloves. Pretty cute!

"If you finely chop citrus rinds and sprinkle them on the mulch in your garden, they keep neighborhood cats, dogs and other critters away from your veggies. I guess animals don’t like the smell of the orange oil. I’ve been using this method in the front garden and it’s working."

This small greenhouse are 100% recycled, We combined some old building bricks and three roof windows and cleverly assembled them. Then we add a little soil, planted the seeds of our choice and let them grow. In this way, the beautiful greenhouses protect the seedlings from weather and keep them warm until they are planted in a flowerbed or vegetable garden.

Simple. For hanging baskets in the summer heat. Use ice cubes. The plants have time to absorb the moisture they need, as the ice melts.
As you plant, put Epsom salts and sugar into each hole. Plants will grow larger, leafier and greener. 4(epsom salts) to 1(sugar) ratio.
Lay down a thick layer of CARDBOARD in your raised garden beds to kill the grass. It is perfectly safe to use and will fully decompose, but not before killing any grass below it. They’ll also provide compost and food for worms. @ Home Improvement Ideas
BEST Weed Spray. I made 3 gallons for around $4.00 last year after seeing a pin. Worked better than Round Up killed the weeds/stray grass on first application. One gallon of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, 1/2 c table salt, 1 tsp Dawn. Mix and pour into a smaller spray bottle. (you can purchase 3 gallon size Apple Cider Vinegar in the canning section of a good hardware store - cheap!)
