In Washington, D.C., FBI special agents Savich and Sherlock hear the news that Jack radioed in a mayday in the mountains near Parlow, Kentucky. They go to see what’s happened.Jack Crowne is not only a very good pilot, he’s also lucky. He manages to bring his plane down in a narrow sliver of a valley and haul the unconscious Dr. MacLean from the burning wreckage before it explodes. Their crash is witnessed by Rachael Abbott, a young woman on the run from really bad trouble. and Rachael’s secrets? It all revolves around her father Senator John James Abbott of Maryland, a man she knew only a few weeks before he was killed in what was ruled an accidental death. But Rachael knows it wasn’t.

Married FBI agents Savich and Sherlock work and play hard: devoted to their jobs, their son, and each other, they appreciate every moment of downtime. A long weekend getaway at a secluded cabin in the Pennsylvania woods is cut short when the agents are summoned back to Washington, where a nightmare awaits them: The night before the Supreme Court is to hear opening arguments in a highly controversial death- penalty case, a prominent judge is murdered in the court's library. Luv her books !!!

  • Tracey Derrick

The latest in prolific novelist Coulter's series of FBI thrillers once again features high-powered husband and wife team Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock.the two are called to investigate the heinous midnight murder of a Supreme Court Justice, committed in the Court's library despite tight, round-the-clock security. Known as a moderate, Justice Stewart Califano was undoubtedly contemplating an upcoming case involving the death penalty for psychopathic juveniles when he was brutally garroted, his fingers sliced off as he struggled to escape. The FBI is aided in the case by the CIA, Secret Service and metropolitan police as well as by the judge's stepdaughter, an investigative reporter for the Washington Post. Yet within 48 hours, two of the Justice's young law clerks are murdered in the same grisly fashion—the lovable Daniel strangled with his own St. Christopher medal chain, and the formidable Eliza killed while she's on the phone with Savich.

This is not the latest I know, sorry it's fairly new to me, thou the book itself came out back in 2004..,lol.

Tough Customer by Sandra Brown-Hard-living detective-turned-P.I., Dodge Hanley tries not to dwell on the past. But when he gets a call from Caroline King, “the one” who got away, there’s no time for looking back; their daughter is in trouble.Caroline has told Berry that Dodge is an old friend they can rely on to prove she didn’t shoot her ex-lover, even though she’s already told the cops she saw the real culprit. It was Oren Starks, Berry insists, a former co-worker fired for stalking her.

  • Tracey Derrick

The only thing clear to Dodge is that Starks is obsessed with having Berry…or killing her, and neither is acceptable to a man who’s determined to right some old wrongs, even if he has to risk his life—not to mention his heart—to do it.

The Dark Half by Stephen King-back in the 80's it was all I read Stephen King..,lol..In The Dark Half, a writer using a pen name is exposed and a murderous rampage occurs as a result with numerous victims getting killed in a variety of gruesome ways, including one guy getting beaten to death with his own prosthetic arm.

Shirley Maclaine - Her Life- back in the 1990's I read this one- In My Lucky Stars Shirley MacLaine talks candidly and personally about her four decades in Hollywood, especially about the men and women--her "lucky stars"--who touched and challenged her life.

Erica Spindler- All Fall Down was a great book back in the 1990's, I remember this one well, pretty much about Melanie May, a small-town cop hungry for the big time, risks her career to convince a troubled FBI profiler of the identity of a serial killer, only to realize that the profile she's created fits someone in her own life -- and that the killer won't stop...until all fall down...enjoyed reading this one.

VC ANDREWS- Web Of Dreams was a good book back in the early 1990's-With nowhere to go, no one to help her, Leigh fled into the arms of Luke Casteel, Leigh had to escape from Boston's Farthinggale Manor. The secret she harbored seemed to darken her life forever. Jillian, her mother, would not believe her...and Tony Tatterton, her stepfather, had betrayed her most cruelly. The pure devotion of Luke Casteel promised her hope and respect. Luke knew her deepest secrets and would love and protect her.

Patricia Cornwell, The Last Precint-came out about 12 yrs ago, concentrates on discovering the full story behind Chandonne's killings. Kay Scarpetta is also under suspicion for the killing of Bray, due to their known rivalry and public confrontations. A desire to clear her name Kay sifts through the forensic evidence that seems to link Chandonne to past events in her life, up to and including the murder of her lover, Benton Wesley.

Back in the early 1990's - I can recall reading this book,From Potter's Field by Patricia Cornwell- it was about Virginia's Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta--and a bold, brilliant killer from her past. Upon examining a dead woman found in snowbound Central Park, Scarpetta immediately recognizes the grisly work of Temple Brooks Gault. She soon realizes that Gault's murders are but a violent chain leading up to one ultimate kill--Scarpetta herself.

Double Take: Catherine Coulter, It's been more than six months since her husband's brutal death, and Julia Ransom is just beginning to breathe again.
