Chickpea and Tomato Salad with fresh Basil

I love a good protein smoothie. They're easy to make, fantastically healthy, and satisfying. 3 things that are important to those of us who are trying to fit 30 hours of "to-dos" into 24. But there seems to be a stream of thought out there that says that protein powders are for smoothies and shakes.

Roasted Garbanzo Beans, simple, healthy delish. Thanks miss Lisa B.! Preheat oven to 450. Use a metal cookie sheet or baking pan. Pour in 1/4 cup olive oil, once the oven is heated put the cookie sheet/pan in the oven for 3 minutes to heat up oil. Toss 2 cans garbanzo beans (drained and rinsed) with 1 tbsp cumin, 1 tsp cayenne pepper, and coarse salt to taste. Once the oil is hot put the seasoned garbanzos in pan in a single layer and and bake for 12-15 minutes.

    If you like them even crispier add another 5 minutes but keep an eye on them to prevent burning!   Serve over brown rice or quinoa with a few splashes of lite soy sauce (optional), or on any green salad (you will probably want them crispier for the salad).
