Aspen, Colorado in Autumn! It's very pretty -- I lived there 4 years -- but it can't hold a candle to the display east of the Mississippi -- the presence of abundant water (the Rockies are arid) fosters trees of a huge variety resulting in a wonderful fall array of oranges, reds, pinks, yellows and purples. Hooray for the central and eastern US (the "fruited plains").
