One of the resort's many restaurants is the treetop dining pod, where waiters zipline in. #Thailand

Beautiful but when it comes to snow and cold, I'm outta there, no thank you. I'll take warm or hot over cold every time.

I already have a place to stay, just looking for a local to talk to so I can take some photos.

Are you going there to check out Salvation Mountain?

  • Michelle Solorio

Thomas how funny I was just browsing Pinterest and saw this pic. I live in the Imperial Valley. I live about 30 minutes from there. You will get some amazing pics. The Salton Sea is part of the Imperial Valley. I myself have taken photos there. Be prepared though because it does smell. Enjoy your time here in the Imperial Valley. Oh and if you are driving in through San Diego you will love all the rocks driving through the mountain on your way down to the Valley. Any info you want on the Valley I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

If you are visiting Salvation Mountain, go through Slab City. Tons of interesting people living off the grid. Visit the library and donate a book. There are usually concerts nightly at the Range. I went there a few years ago and it was amazing, it is right next to salvation mountain and there are some beautiful photo opportunities.
