Good Movies Worth Watching/Movie Reviews/Synopsis
I LOVE to watch movies, so this is a collection of movies that I've seen and think are worth watching. Also, a small synopsis of what the movie is about.
The Vow...Based on a true story. I'm not big into chick flicks...but this movie was alot better than I expected. It wasn't your typical chick flick. She gets in an accident and doesn't remember her husband anymore, and he tries to make her fall in love with him again. The story line is great, and isn't so predictable.
Battleship...The action will pit a small fleet of naval ships against an alien force intent on enriching Earth's valuable assets to ensure their survival. Taylor Kitsch (Wolverine) and True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard star alongside Liam Neeson, Rihanna, and Brooklyn Decker...I thought it had alot of action, great story line, and some pretty amazing special effects
Contraband...Mark Wahlberg stars as legendary smuggler Chris Farraday, who has left his criminal past behind to be with his wife (Kate Beckinsale) and sons. When a ruthless drug kingpin (Giovanni Ribisi) threatens his family, Farraday must summon his old skills and contacts for one last run. Contraband takes you to the cutthroat underground world of international smuggling, and on a thrilling adventure Great story line and alot of action. Very good movie.
A Lonely Place To Die....Pretty good movie. 5 people go hiking and come across a little girl that has been kidnapped and burried alive...Alot of action and suspense as they try and keep themselves and the little girl alive and away from the people who kidnapped her
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo...A discredited journalist and a computer hacker discover that even the wealthiest families have skeletons in their closets while working to solve the mystery of a 40-year-old murder...disappearance of Harriet Vanger, whose uncle suspects she may have been killed by a member of their own family. The deeper they dig for the truth, the greater the risk of being buried alive by members of the family, who will go to great lengths to keep their secrets tightly sealed.
Puncture...Based on a true story. About a nurse who gets accidentally hit by a needle and gets AIDS. 2 lawyers try to change the healthcare system and get them to use needles that retract and can only be used once. One lawyer taking the case has a drug addiction. Movie was pretty good.
Columbus Circle...Abigail lives alone. Very alone. The heiress hasnt left her Manhattan apartment for almost 20 years. When the death of her elderly neighbor prompts NYPD Homicide Detective to investigate. She tries to buy the apartment, but other tenants get it first. She watches her new neighbors from her front door's peephole, but her world begins to unravel when she finally encounters them face-to-face and her sheltered existence becomes threatened in unexpected and terrifying ways.
Beneath the Darkness...Ely Vaughn is a pillar of the community. The town's mortician. Local teens spread stories of supernatural goings on at Ely's mansion--which is also the funeral home. When high school friends decide to check out the rumors, they stumble on a grotesque, long-hidden secret. The sadistic mortician next door will now stop at nothing to literally bury his past.
An inspirational film centered on a promising football star, who plans to make it to the NFL. Deon faces a battle for his life. With his dreams shattered, and the reality of not being able to play football, he tries to keep his struggle a secret. Now, with his life torn apart, He discovers another side of himself, a strength he never knew, and a power to rise above it all as things seem to fall apart all around him.
J Edgar....Based on true story about J Edgar Hoover and how the FBI came to be. Directed by Clint Eastwood and staring Leonardo DiCaprio. I get into law enforcement type movies, so I thought it was very good and I found out alot of things that I didn't know. Superb acting.
