Why didn't I think of that?
From the Book Lady, "cheap, plastic, transparent pony beads in a 12" metal cake pan. It took quite a few, as I wanted the 'plate' to be thick enough to support the weight of a cake. Then, I baked the beads at 425 degrees for 30-40 minutes...until all the beads had completely melted. I let this cool in the pan for about 20 minutes, then popped it out of the pan (it came right out...really!) Next, I glued it onto a dollar store candle stick with E6000 glue."
DYI: Hair detangler. I have been doing this for years. This site explains how to do it. One thing I have learned over the years with my long hair is to NOT to be afraid of leaving conditioner in your hair. You'd think that it will get all greasy but it doesn't. It makes your hair easier to brush, therefore less breakage, and also leaves your hair shiny and smooth. Chose your favorite scented conditioner for this method.

This is a life changer!! Each member of the family has a mesh lingerie laundry bag, and a hook. They put their dirty socks and underwear in the bag each night. On laundry day, you wash the whole mesh zipped up bag, and give it back! No more sorting through and figuring out which socks are for which person. # Pin++ for Pinterest #

Vinegar works as a wood stain when you add a metal object in the mix and let it sit in a glass container for a week. A handful of pennies will produce a beautiful pale Caribbean blue stain. A wad of steel wool will give you a rich reddish hue. A combination of tea and a metal object in vinegar will produce a black stain. Log this away for later.
Simply pour 2 cups of CLUB SODA directly in the center of a fire ant mound. The carbon dioxide in the water is heavier than air and displaces oxygen which suffocates the queen and the other ants. The whole colony will be dead within about two days. Each mound must be treated individually and a one liter bottle of club soda will kill 2 to 3 mounds. SO DOING THIS. -Ooooh! Greener and cheaper than Terminix!
