plant lemon grass in big pots for the patio... it repeals mosquitos and it grows tall & thick providing a lot of privacy

the world's most perfect fertilizer + pesticide is epsom salt. This is so true- every other week- 1 gallon of water, 1 TBSP of miracle grow and 3 TBSP of epsom salt- I promise a great garden all season. Hmmm, I really should try this.

for the back yard- plant lemon grass for privacy and to keep the mosquitoes away

In every garden there are weeds. The trick is how to kill the weeds you hate without killing the plants you love. The answer is as simple as… pouring boiling water on them! Within a few hours, the plants will be dead, their leaves and roots shriveled up, brown and cooked. The hot water kills them from the inside out.

Pool pillows... i need one.. i would tan all day long.

From another pinner: Spring is coming and this is the BEST Weed Spray. I made 3 gallons for around $4.00 last year after seeing a pin. Worked better than Round Up & killed the weeds/stray grass on first application. One gallon of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, 1/2 c table salt, 1 tsp Dawn. Mix and pour into a smaller spray bottle. (you can purchase 3 gallon size Apple Cider Vinegar in the canning section of a good hardware store - cheap!)

Outdoor sink. No plumbing required. Kind of awesome.

The newspaper will prevent any grass and weed seeds from germinating, but unlike fabric, it will decompose after about 18 months. By that time, any grass and weed seeds that were present in the soil on planting will be dead. It’s green, it’s cheaper than fabric, and when you decide to remove or redesign the bed later on, you will not have the headache you would with fabric.

♥ this idea! I'd use Citronella candles in these. --- Mason Jar Candles on Summer Nights
