Carl Larsson loved to paint his children. The story is that this particular son was in trouble and was sent to sit on this chair in the kitchen. His father made him sit there while he painted him. Classic. And, yes, this is what the room looks like, even today. Gorgeous and bold.
Karin Larsson's room in the forefront, Carl's in the back. She slept in the nursery with the children. This webpage has lots of his art and actual pictures of their home. Stunning, inspring. This was my favorite tourist stop when we were in Sweden.
