Pierogis aka polish dumplings. We make ours from my great-grandmother's recipe and fill them with farmer's cheese, potatoes and onions or sauerkraut. Nothing like hearty country food to warm you up on a chilly or rainy night.

Mom would boil cabbage, potatoes, carrots and Polish sausage as a tasty dinner. This recipe changes out the sausage and brings back the boiled veggies I love. Sauteing the salmon in the onion, carrot and cabbage returns many of my favorits back to the dinner table.
