garden and patio
Ideas for a small yard and patio space - both fanciful and practical ideas will live here!
In this lush flowerbed, dianthus, catmint, and foxglove are lively and vigorous choices that gradually fill out the garden space. The design is duplicated down the length of the bed, which is an effective method for offering different blooms while maintaining a two-color composition.
I love this idea, originally it was innovated because of the droughts in Africa. I learned of it when studying in my Global Sustainability class. Not only is it very efficient, 2 gardens like this can feed a family of 10 all year round & use as little as a gallon of water a day, it's an awesome concept
These are so darned cute! They would be great to add to a flower garden, along the patio, or even glue to the top of your deck railing in the corners for a little added artsy touch. Doesn't have to be just feet....you could glue rocks in all different shapes and designs to the back of your wood fence to show a mural above your flowers!
