Symbols of Spring
Hmmmm...I often find old nests while walking along the creek and woods with the dog and cats. Starting plants in them and then planting in the flowerbed or garden would eliminate the need for starting pots, and the nest would not only be an interesting feature but would also eventually break down, adding organic matter and some bird poop to the planting area.

Belgium's national flower, the red poppy, is a species of flowering plant in the poppy family, Papaveraceae. This poppy, a native of Europe is notable as an agricultural weed (hence the "corn" and "field") and as a symbol of fallen soldiers. In the northern hemisphere it generally flowers in late spring.
