Artist - Sherrill Kahn
Kahn: This piece was done on fabric. I painted checkerboards onto the fabric with a flat brush. I added layers of rubber stamping with Sherrill's sorbets. I outlined selected areas with Jacquard's Lumiere in applicator tipped bottles with a size 7 applicator tip added to the bottle (the tip is also from Jacquard). I sewed lines of ribbon vertically to the piece and finished it with rows of seed beads.

This piece has many embellishments added to it: beads, digital fabric, dyed facial wipes, sewn cord, and machine embroidery. The colors are vibrant and exciting and many different painting techniques were used to create the finished design. Sherrill Kahn
Sherrill Kahn: " I created this book in Bellevue, Washington at Beads and Beyond with Karen Page. Creating this book showed me that a book is not just a rectangle or square. Karen inspired me to try other shapes for books. Since then, I have created books in animal shapes, odd shapes, triangles, angels, ethnic figures, or whatever shape I wish."
