Court of Amenhotep III at Luxor Temple, probably one of the most awe-inspiring mystical places I have ever visited in the World. Simply stunning at night! Of all the places visited in Egypt... Luxor Temple at night is at the top of my most favorites! Coming in right behind was being the recipient of a private early morning tour of the "Valley of the Kings", the tombs, and being the only American woman at a small Luxor marketplace early in the morning ... simply incredible!

Brandenburg Gate, Berlin - Once marking the turbulent division of East and West Berlin, the Brandenburg Gate now stands at the head of a pedestrian plaza just blocks from the German parliament. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, a physical and social reinvention has taken place throughout the city, visible in the bold lines of new architecture juxtaposing mementos of eras past. - Photograph by Timothy Burk
