But Jane Russell dancing in a gym full of naked men (dancing no less)… and not until the end of the scene do any of them show any interest in her. Probably because by this point they realize she could be a gay icon.

The first half was a tango, formal jacket and long white dress, the kind of stuff Fred did with all his partners, except that he didn't have to cover for Eleanor Powell or maneuver fancy
