This documentary film portrays a young man's struggle with a neurological disorder called Dystonia. After dealing with increasing discomfort and pain due to the involuntary muscle spasms and abnormal postures associated with Dystonia, Devin finally found relief at UC San Francisco in the Neurological Disorders Clinic.
His name is Devin and he has Dystonia which is a neurological movement disorder. Dystonia causes abnormal postures, twisting and repetitive movements. When Devin spoke he could not be understood but after meeting Dr. Ostrem and Dr. Starr, Devin became the 5th person in a case study to test the results of deep brain stimulation. The results are amazing and heartwarming Devin is such an inspiration. He continues to work hard and is improving day by day.
