Just made it from a tobacco stick and some old glass knobs I had. Finally a place for all my necklaces. :)

how cool would this be to make out of old tobacco sticks!

tobacco in mid stage prior to cropping for flue curing, i.e. eastern North Carolina where I grew up, many years of straddling poles in upper levels of barns, putting sticks of green tobacco in place for flue curing.

DIY tobacco stick doormat. Cut sticks to size doormat desired, use drill bit to make a hole on side of stick about 3-4 inches from each end, then thread rope through holes and tie off, burn ends to not unravel. Keep it natural wood or spray paint or hand paint to decorate.
