Love every single one of these --> 20 ways to reset when your kids are having a hard day

I've always wanted to journal, but never could get in the habit. I would like to bring my boys up to journal. So every night (or every night we CAN), we talk with Harrison about what he did that day and encourage him to draw about something he did. I write a sentence or two about what he drew. It takes just 5 minutes a night before bed. Also, discussing the events of the day helps him learn to grasp the abstract concept of time.

Paper Drop; put a class list on the back of an assignment envelope and students mark their name off when it's turned in. You instantly know whose work is missing.
