I love the use of white space in this design. It creates a simple and sophisticated layout. I also noticed how it only utilizes two colors, black and white, which echoes the theme of fashion and sophistication. I also like how the beginning type follows the shape of the italicized "d". This helps to add texture and variety.

BALANCE: Japanese A. The masked tree branch silhouette image is stunning. It creates a very visually interesting negative space. The type in the upper left corner has the propensity to follow the diagonal ascension of the left leg of the A. This is a brilliant composition with maximum contrast, and a clear focal point for a simply stunning result.

I love how simple yet impactful (I don't know if that is even a word) this is. It takes one second to read the big letters on this page and whoever Sara Duncan is, I would want to give her the job :-) The wording of the big letters is amazing too. It makes one feel welcome, we would love to give people a "It's so awesome that you're here!" feel right away when they visit our site
