Hand dyed shibori cottons in indigo, pieced and quilted by hand and by machine. This is quite Japanese in style. The four panels are reminiscent of noren, the fabric signs that hang outside shops in Japan. The continuous scene reminds me of landscape imagery on Asian scrolls or screens. The depiction of weather elements were inspired by portraits of snow ,clouds, rain and fog in Japanese prints.
