Winkley Bridge in Heber Springs, Arkansas  The bridge was built in 1912 and was in use until it closed to vehicular traffic in 1972. It was kept as a walking bridge and tourist attraction and was later added to the National Register of Historic Places. It was a popular attraction until it collapsed on October 28, 1989, killing 5 people and injuring many others.
