Passed many barns with tobacco hanging to dry. My granddaddy raised tobacco to make a living. I never smoked a cigarette in my life. But I remember the sweet smell of freshly cured tobacco.

Tobacco Barn, log type, typical for North Carolina.  This group is removing cured tobacco from the barn to go to the tobacco market and sell. This method of "barning tobacco" was abandoned in the 1970's in favor of metal barn curing systems.
