Rose Hill Cottage - Gothic Revival Plantation

Rosedown Plantation in St. Francisville, LA. One of the most fascinating items in the home is a tapestry handmade by Martha Washington. The home & grounds are absolutely gorgeous!

(Dr. Josephus W. Hall House, Salisbury, North Carolina.) A symbol of Old Salisbury, this beautiful house was built in 1820. In 1859, Dr. Hall moved his family into the house. Dr. Hall served as chief surgeon at the Salisbury Confederate Prison during the Civil War. The house was used as headquarters for Union commander General George Stoneman during his raid in North Carolina in 1865.
