(Dec 7. 2013) Dear Angelina, it’s getting colder by the minute. With the New Year just a few weeks away, I expect it’ll probably snow soon. Milano is as busy as always. I really miss you. I can’t believe this will be our first Christmas away from each other. Look after yourself and let me know how you’re doing soon. Love, mum xx
(Nov 29. 2013) Hi mum, a quick update. I've been on the road for the past few days. And I'm loving it! I'm travelling with my new friends Jack and Simone. Right now we're at a bus station in California. We just got here. I'll be in touch as soon as we get settled in. xx Angelina
(Nov 4. 2013) Angelina, the rain here in Milano is still falling. I'm finding it very cold to go outside. I miss having morning coffee with you at that gorgeous little place around the corner from your university. I'll have to put on some warm clothes and go there - one of these days. I know it's something that will make me feel closer to you. I hope you've settled in at your first destination. I can't wait to hear from you. Love, mum xx
Palm Beach is one of the best places for all shopping freaks. Whoever wants to shop mostly goes to the Worth Avenue. They in fact have a dedicated street that has been tagged as the “shopping district” by the localities.
(Dec 15. 2013) Hi mum, guess what? I’m in Florida. Naples, Florida - to be exact. It took a while to get here, but I figured I would enjoy some more of the sunshine before I hit the freezing weather in New York for the New Year. Anyway, I thought you might find this beautiful - it's a pretty famous pier here on the beach. Wish you could see it with me. xx Angelina
(Dec 10. 2013) Dear Angelina, I’m so glad to hear you’re well. I’m doing fine, too, but the weather in Milano isn’t holding up so great. They keep telling us to expect snow any day now. If it was me, I’d stay in wam California for as long as possible. But I know you have bigger plans. Love, mum xx
(Dec 3. 2013) Hi mum! I’m having a wonderful time in California. We’ve settled into a funky hostel full of young people who are travelling the world just like me. We went to a farmers’ market yesterday. It was great to see all the hand-made and organic things on display. I bought some very early Christmas presents for a couple of the girls at the hostel and I tried some very tasty filter coffee. And before I forget, say “hi” to Francesca for me - I haven’t heard from her in a while. xx…
(Nov 28. 2013) Dear Angelina, you won't believe this! I found a beautiful new coffee shop two blocks from home that serves #hardyespresso. I'm so excited - it means I don't have to travel all the way to your university to have a great cup of Milano coffee. How are you, my love? Are you still in Canada? When are you moving on and where are you going? I miss you. Love, mum xx
(Nov 19. 2013) Hi mum, I’ve met a boy! Haha, I knew that would get your attention. Don’t worry, he’s not a boy I’m interested in romantically, he’s just a really cool guy who loves coffee. His name is Raul and he’s been travelling with two girls I share an apartment with at the moment. They’ve all been awesome company, but I’m moving on soon. It’ll be sad to leave my first group of travelling friends. How are you, mum? Is it still raining in Milano? xx Angelina
