Coloring Eggs - Use Shaving Cream and food coloring (dark colors) - roll in shaving cream let sit, wipe off. Very Cool!

Provide children with structure and security by using visual cuing.  This visual schedule with pull down flaps + magnets encourages independence, organization skills, and a sense of accomplishment...and as an added bonus, sneaks in some pre-reading skills with environmental print! :)  When item is completed close the flap and the word Done is printed on the outside. Near genius.

Cool Down Cubes - great for students who have difficulty with anger. Using a permanent marker, write a safe "cool down" strategy on each ice cube. For example: count to ten, walk away, talk to a friend, take three deep breaths, etc. I also left a few of the cubes blank so that the students could come up with their own strategies.

Crafty Counselor Chick: Cool Down Cubes. Students who have trouble controlling their anger are asked to take a cube and try the cool down strategy written on it. Examples: count to ten, take 3 deep breaths, talk to a friend, tell the teacher, etc.
