The Blue Sweater tells the story of a woman who left her job as an international banker to spend her life learning about global poverty and to find ways to end it. It all started with a blue sweater that the author, Jacqueline Novogratz, gave away to Goodwill. Eleven years later she saw a little boy wearing the same sweater in Africa. While abroad, Novogratz learns about a new way to invest called "patient capital" and how it can help people be more self sufficient and change their lives.
