    Nonsense words Blending for Kindergarteners

    -ck spinners! Put a paperclip on the spinner and place the point of a pencil inside the paperclip and in the center of the spinner. First, spin the beginning sound spinner (b, l, n, p, s.) Next, spin the ending sound spinner (ack, eck, ick, ock, uck.) Record your spins on paper. Sound out the word. If the word is a real word, circle it; if the word is a nonsense word, do not circle it. Students can work in pairs.
